Three MRT stations, two lines: connectivity at The River Opus
Published
Connectivity is one of the quiet strengths of The River Opus. From 491 River Valley Road, three MRT stations are within about an eight-minute walk: Great World (TE15) and Havelock (TE16) on the Thomson-East Coast Line, and Tiong Bahru (EW17) on the East-West Line.
Two lines on foot open up most of the network. The Thomson-East Coast Line links River Valley with Orchard Road in one direction and Marina Bay in the other, while the East-West Line runs through the Central Business District and out across the island. Having three stations to choose from also means a choice of route depending on where the day starts, and a fallback when one line is busy.
Not every journey needs a train. The Singapore River promenade runs close by, with Robertson Quay, Great World mall and Valley Park within an easy walk, and the Tiong Bahru heritage estate is a short stroll away. About six minutes on foot brings you to three food centres, including Zion Riverside Food Centre and Beo Crescent Market, and three schools lie within 1 km, Alexandra Primary School among them.
For residents, that combination of rail choice and walkable everyday needs is what makes a city address workable day to day. See the full location guide for the detail, or the amenities page for what surrounds the development.
